/ APACCCEEC participates with two pavilions during the China International Import Expo in Shanghai

On November 5th was the official opening of one of the biggest international exhibitions in China – the China International Import Expo in Shanghai. Among the sectors represented at the exhibition are food and beverages, cosmetics, innovations, electronics, machines, robotics, etc.

APACCCEEC participates with two Pavilions, as one is for the F&B industry, and the other is represented by companies producing cosmetics and cosmetic products. The companies participating in the two Pavilions during the exhibition are 15 from 4 countries of the China-CEE Cooperation Initiative, including Bulgaria, Greece, Slovakia and Romania. On the first day the Pavilions of the APACCCEEC were visited by Mr. Vladislav Spasov, Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Shanghai and Mrs. Ivet Nikolova, Commercial and Economic Counseller of Bulgaria in Shanghai.

The companies on the APACCCEEC pavilions are producers of wine and spirits, sunflower and extra virgin oils, honey, healthy foods, soft drinks and cosmetic products. The exhibition provides an opportunity for participating companies to meet distributors, buyers and other exhibitors and to build new partnerships with Chinese counterparts.

More than 100 parallel events are held within the exhibition. On November 6th, during two parallel events, special guests were Mr. Vladislav Spasov, Dr. Momchil Stanishev and Mrs. Ivet Nikolova.

The first side event was ,,The 16th Belt and Road Eco-Agriculture and Food Safety Forum’’. The event was open by Mr. Tian Shihong, Vice Commissioner of State Administration for Market Regulation, Mr. Chen Jie, Vice Mayor of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Mr. Zhang Ming, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Mr. Zhang Zhangjun, Charge d’ affairs of Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations. During the forum were discussed topics such as, development of innovations, technologies, green projects in the field of agriculture, as well as the role of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Within the second event “Dialogue on China-CEEC Green Development Cooperation” Dr. Momchil Stanishev gave a presentation on theme “Green Innovations for Agricultural Development”, as among the main topics of his speech were the global environmental challenges facing the business; modern technologies, innovations in agriculture, as well as the role of the startups. Mr. Stanishev paid special attention to the APACCCEEC`s Accelerator Program for Startups in Agriculture, which promote innovations in the agriculture, thus contributing the development of the sector. The CIIE continues until 10th of November.
