A Joint Declaration on the Promotion of the Construction of China-CEEC Modern Agricultural Cooperation Demonstration Zone in Tianjin, PRC between Tianjin Food Group Co., Ltd. And Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries was signed on January 29th, 2021.
On the Chinese side, the Declaration was signed on January 23 in Beijing. One week later, when the document was received in Bulgaria, Vasil Gelev, Executive Director of APACCCEEC, signed the Joint Declaration, in the presence of Mr. Lin Yaomin, Director of Hera Agro Ltd., part of Tianjin Farm Cultivation Group Company Bulgaria EOOD. The Chinese company manages one of the two Demonstration Zones established on the territory of Bulgaria, the one in Parvomay, Municipality of Plovdiv. 17+1 Demonstration Zone of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the CEE Countries at the Agricultural University is managed by APACCCEEC. Both parties play an active role in promoting the in-depth practical agricultural cooperation between China and CEEC.
When completed, the China-CEEC Modern Agricultural Cooperation Demonstration Zone in Tianjin, China will promote the attraction of agricultural investment and technologies with regard to cooperation within the 17+1 Initiative and regarding CEE countries along the Belt and Road Initiative. The China-CEEC Modern Agricultural Cooperation Demonstration Zone in Tianjin, China will also act as a demonstration area of the modern production system of Chinese agriculture, a cooperation and transformation platform of Chinese and CEE countries’ agricultural research achievements, as well as a platform of the communication, exhibition and trade of famous, special and high-quality agricultural products of China and CEE countries.
The planned zone is based on the national modern agricultural industrial park in Baodi and the China-CEEC feature towns in Beichen of Tianjin. Dazhongzhuang Farm, Huangzhuang Farm and Lizigu Farm located in the national modern agricultural industrial park in Baodi District occupy a total area of 2, 260 hectares with an industrial deployment integrating planting, breeding, processing, and tourism & entertainment, including Xiaozhan rice plantations, dairy farms, hog farms, poultry (chickens) farms, etc. The feature towns in Beichen District with a planned area of 430 hectares, based on the 70-year-old China-Bulgarian Friendship Farm and incorporated with the features in Central and Eastern European countries, will be transformed into a modern platform for industrial exchange, demonstration and trade especially led by the food industry.
* The Project 17+1 Demonstration Zone of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the CEE Countries was officially launched by the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov during the 7th Summit of China and Central and Eastern European Countries in July 2018 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
