08.02.2021 / 1st Intermediate Meeting of the Consultative Board of APACCCEEC
The day before the 9th Summit, APACCCEEC held an online meeting on the theme “Demonstration Zone of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries”. The Project was established and is being developed by the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the CEE countries and was supported by the Heads of Government of China and the CEE countries in 2017, officially launched by the Prime Ministers of RB and the PRC in 2018.
During the virtual meeting, Vasil Gelev – Executive Director of the Association, acquainted in detail with the Project and its capabilities the present members of the Consultative Board. Presentations were also made by Lin Yaomin – Director of Hera Agro Ltd., Shen Lirong – Professor from Zhejiang University, PRC and Zhu Hanliang – Chairman of the Board of the Chinese company Zhejiang Yangtian Agricultural Scientific & Technological Co. Ltd.
The countries of Central and Eastern Europe, which took an active part in the dialogue, supported the cooperation initiative and expressed their readiness to join the Demonstration Zone of Agricultural Cooperation between China and CEEC. Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the People’s Republic of China, Hellenic Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Northern Macedonia, Slovenia, Slovakia and Hungary highlighted the leading agricultural crops in their countries and congratulated the APACCCEEC leadership for the initiated conversation.
Liaison was also provided with representatives of the Xiaoshan-Lichuan High-tech Agricultural Demonstration Park, who observed the meeting from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province and Lichuan, Hubei Province.
The Demonstration Zone of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries is a project that could boost technological innovation, promote production development and contribute to increasing the income of CEE and Chinese farmers.
