/ New Opportunities for the Bulgarian agricultural producers on the Chinese Market

“New regulations on the Chinese agricultural market, E-commerce in 16+1 format”. Under this motto, a meeting with representatives of branch organizations in the field of agriculture in Bulgaria took place in the Big Hall of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). Scientists and diplomats from the 16+1 Initiative participating countries were invited. The organizers and hosts were the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries (APACCCEEC) and the BCCI Investment Council.

Vasil Gelev, Executive Director of APACCCEEC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetla Yancheva, and Deputy Rector for International Affairs at the Agricultural University – Plovdiv, and Vladimir Tomov, Chairman of the BCCI Investment Council spoke before the guests who participated in the meeting. They pointed out the favorable trade regulations for the Bulgarian producers in China, the active relations of the Agricultural University of Plovdiv with the Chinese agricultural scientific institutes, and the financing of projects in the framework of the cooperation between the Bulgarian and Chinese businesses.

“The Chinese market is a big challenge for Bulgaria. It opens up great opportunities for the Bulgarian business, said the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov in his welcoming to the participants and expressed his wish to BCCI to help find partners in China. Tsvetan Simeonov also noted the active assistance of the Chinese Embassy in this direction.

Vasil Gelev presented the “Demonstration Zone of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries” – Republic of Bulgaria as a highly effective project on a modern scientific and technological base for demonstration of agriculture, developed throughout the country. The Executive Director of APACCCEEC also explained the essence of “16+1 E-Commerce Logistics Hub Pavilion for Agricultural and Other Products” – Republic of Bulgaria with its unlimited warehouse management capabilities, supply chain, logistics, customs, personalized and other services. Talk about the implementation and development of a 16+1 B2B e-commerce information platform to integrate the resources of the B2B and B2C and G2B2B2C e-commerce trading platform. The project aims to promote mutually beneficial and sustainable development of e-commerce businesses between China and the CEE countries.
