17.07.2018 / “The most dynamic cross-border E-Commerce city for 2018” was awarded to the city of Plovdiv

Plovdiv received the award “Most Dynamic Cross-Border E-Commerce City for 2018” during a ceremony for the opening of The First 616 Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Carnival & The 3rd Shenzhen International Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Expo.

The Mayor of Plovdiv Ivan Totev received the award from Vasil Gelev, Executive Director of the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries (APACCCEEC), Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. Vasil Gelev took part in the Forum, held on June 14, 2018, following a special invitation from the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association organizers. On May 28, together with SZCBECA, the Association opened an e-commerce joint office within the “16+1 Logistic hub and Pavilion for eCcommerce for agricultural and other products” – Plovdiv, Trakia Economic Zone.

Mayor Ivan Totev received the award with gratitude and showed his readiness for support in realizing future joint plans with the APACCCEEC and Trakia  Economic Zone.

“This is a very serious recognition for Plovdiv,” Vasil Gelev said. The meeting was attended by Plamen Panchev, founder of Trakia Economic Zone and the Bulgarian-Chinese Business Development Association.
