/ Meeting with the Chinese State Logistics Company CTS International Logistics Corporation Limited

On May 4, 2018 in Shanghai delegation led by Vasil Gelev, Executive Director of the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and CEE Countries and members: Adrian Georgiev, State Expert in the Directorate for European Coordination and International Relations and Kristina Venkova, Expert at the Association, held a meeting with the Chinese State Logistics Company CTS International Logistics Corporation Limited. From Chinese side, CTS was presented by Mr. Harry Chu, General Manager of CTS, Mr. Liu Yunfang, Regional General Manager (East China, Region 2), Mr. August Wang, Manager, Ms. Vicky Gao, Manager for Route Development. After a brief presentation of the activities of the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the CEEC, the parties discussed the possibilities for establishing cooperation with each other.

CTS International Logistics Corporation Limited is the logistics and trading division of the China National Tourist Service. The headquarters of CTS International is located in Shanghai, the international shipping center of China. The company’s business focuses primarily on cross-border integrated logistics services and supply chains. CTS International has more than 30 sub-institutions in China’s main ports and economically developed inner cities, as well as in Hong Kong, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Frankfurt. CTS Logistics ranks seventh in the top 100 logistics companies in China. In many major ports in China, CTS International ranks among the top three in terms of volume of cargo, which it processes annually.

Taking into consideration the above, CTS Logistics has shown strong interest in establishing a long-term strategic partnership with the “16+1 Logistic Hub and the Pavilion for E-Commerce for Agricultural and Other Products” – Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The Bulgarian side presented the progress of the APACCCEEC’s project, the expected volumes of products to be traded between the countries, product specification and etc. A detailed presentation of the electronic platform for consolidation of producers from China and the CEE countries – www.16plus1cloud.org was shown to the CTS representatives.
On May 7, 2018, a second meeting with the logistics company CTS International Logistics Corporation Limited was held in Nanjing, PRC to discuss the possibility of connectivity between CTS and “16+1 Logistics Hub and Pavilion for E-Commerce for Agricultural and Other Products – Plovdiv, for exchange of data and information, connectivity of the logistic infrastructure and warehouse base. The meeting was organized by Mr. Yunfeng Liu, Regional General Manager of the logistics company CTS International Logistics Corporation Limited, responsible for e-commerce. The meeting was attended as well by Zhu Junchao, Assistant General Manager and Eric Xia, Export Manager. The meeting was subsequent of the conversations held on May 4 at the headquarters of CTS in Shanghai.
