APACCCEEC team wishes all citizens and residents of Bulgaria Happy National Liberation Day.

On this day, the Bulgarians celebrate the signing of the Preliminary Treaty of San Stefano (nowadays in Istanbul) that marks the end of the Russo-Turkish war of 1877-1878 and the establishment of the Third Bulgarian State after 5 centuries of Ottoman rule.

The celebration of the National Liberation Day has started in 1879, when Antim I, Exarch of the Bulgarian Exarchate, serves a memorial liturgical service in St. Mary Church in the medieval capital of Bulgaria, Veliko Tarnovo. In 1991, after the Fall of Communism, the Liberation Day is re-declared as a national holiday.

Happy National Liberation Day, Bulgaria!
