In recent years, the pet food market in China has experienced significant growth, attracting increasing attention from foreign companies in the sector and becoming a key destination for imported products.

However, since the beginning of 2025, pet food importers have faced several challenges, including rising tariffs and tougher competition with domestic Chinese producers.

To shed light on the current challenges and opportunities for pet food importers in China, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is organizing the event „Navigating the Future: Opportunities and Challenges for Imported Pet Food in China“, which will take place on Friday, 11 April 2025 at 15:00 China Standard Time (10:00 Bulgarian time), offering both in-person and online participation options through Microsoft Teams.

The event will bring together industry experts who will explore strategies to overcome the aforementioned challenges and uncover growth opportunities for European companies in China’s competitive market.
