09.04.2025 / APACCCEEC participated for another year in Career Day in Agricultural University – Plovdiv
On April 9, 2025, Mr. Zahari Zahariev, Expert at APACCCEEC, took part in Career Day in Agricultural University – Plovdiv. The event is organized annually by the higher education institution and aims to introduce the students to opportunities for professional development and successful career in the agricultural sector. Participating companies and institutions from Bulgaria engaged with students and presented open internship and job positions, thus creating tangible opportunities for hiring future professionals in the sector.
During the official opening of Career Day, Assoc. Prof. Boryana Ivanova, Rector of Agricultural University – Plovdiv, emphasized the importance of the event for students to make their career choices after graduation. Assoc. Prof. Ivanova noted that completing higher education is just the first step in a long journey. “We provide the foundational knowledge and guidance and set the necessary groundwork, but each student must demonstrate motivation and determination to move forward successfully,” highlighted the Rector of Agricultural University – Plovdiv in her opening speech.
More than 30 companies and institutions took part in the Career Day, including the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of the Republic of Bulgaria, National Agricultural Advisory Service – Plovdiv, and Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water – Plovdiv.
At the exhibition stand of APACCCEEC students and guests were introduced with the current initiatives, including the CineClub project – which has been running for a year in the Demonstration Zone of Agricultural Cooperation between China and CEE countries at the Agricultural University – Plovdiv, as well as the upcoming editions of the Academy for Entrepreneurship in Agriculture. The Academy offers an excellent opportunity for young entrepreneurs to develop innovative ideas and projects in agriculture.

Students at Agricultural University – Plovdiv visited the Demonstration Zone of Agricultural Cooperation between China and CEE countries and viewed the showcased products from CEE companies, including honey products, confectionery, soft drinks, etc.
The students shared positive feedback about APACCCEEC’s initiatives in Plovdiv, particularly the ongoing project “CineClub” and the Academy for Entrepreneurship in Agriculture, which was held in December 2024. They highlighted the inspiring example of the winner in Plovdiv—18-year-old Gergana Kermenova, who impressed the jury with her project “Solution to the honey marketing problem in Bulgaria” and motivated many young people to develop in the sector.
This year’s edition of Career Day in Agricultural University – Plovdiv concluded with a demonstration of agricultural machinery (tractors and a high-performance compact drone with a 10-liter tank capacity).
