29.05.2019 / Chinese students join the “Young Entrepreneurs” Project

The APACCCEEC team participates today (May 29, 2019) in the Chinese-Bulgarian Forum for Rural Revivification initiated by the management of the Agricultural University in Plovdiv. Prof. Che Shengquan of Jiaotong University in Shanghai (SJTU) and representatives of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Bulgaria presented the Chinese view.
The Project “Young Entrepreneurs from China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEE)”, working under the auspices of the APACCCEEC in the Agricultural University of Plovdiv, was presented to the audience by the Executive Director Vasil Gelev and other participants in the project.
The aim of the youth project is to create good practices between CEE students and China, to encourage the creative application of the acquired knowledge in the efficient use of resources in agriculture, to achieve high added value of agricultural products. Young entrepreneurs strive to develop an adequate pricing policy, shortening the supply chain, optimizing transportation costs and adapting production to consumer tastes in global markets. Their ambition is successful cross-border e-commerce and traditional trade in agricultural and other products.
As a result of earlier agreements between Vasil Gelev and the Chinese side, it was confirmed that the work on the Young Entrepreneurs project was to be formalized on June 14 at Jiaotong University. In this way, Shanghai University will become the first Chinese university to join APACCCEEC and Agricultural University project “Young Entrepreneurs from China and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)”.
The Chinese delegation also visited the “17+1 Demonstration Center for E-Commerce with Agricultural and other Products” at the Agricultural University, which opened in February this year. Through it, the APACCCEEC created the conditions for young people from China and the CEE countries to develop e-commerce through the platform www.16plus1cloud.org established in 2018 to consolidate agricultural and other producers from China and the CEE countries, which serves as a digital warehouse products.
A day earlier, the Young Entrepreneurs Project was presented at Trakia University, followed by a discussion in which, with the business representatives in attendance, they discussed with Vasil Gelev ways to develop science and technology and trade relations with China, including Thrakia University students. This was at the invitation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Stara Zagora.
