The EU SME Centre is an initiative of the European Union that offers support services to European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and, thus, prepares them to do business in China. The Centre assists in four areas – law, business development, standards and conformity, and human resources. The Centre is organizing five webinars dedicated to capacity building for European SMEs who are interested in expanding to the Chinese market.

The topic of the first one was “Tips to direct and protect your SME before entering China” and it occurred on the 15th of February. The first session will help you to properly assess if China is the right market for your company. The EU SME has provided a recording of it here .

The second session is “Effective Cross-Cultural Communications and Negotiation Skill”. It aims to enhance the overall cross-cultural competence and cultural intelligence, and thus helps the participants to overcome cultural barriers. A recording of the webinar can be accessed here .

The third one is titled “Ways to Enter the Chinese Market” and will be held on the 8th of March. It will introduce the participants to the Chinese market. The fourth webinar is called “China Logistics and Distribution Channels” and will be held on the 10th of March. It will consist of 4 modules that will cover topics such as free trade zones, ports of entry, custom clearance, import inspection, freight forwarders and many more. Sing up for the webinar here .

The topic of the fifth online seminar is “Digital Marketing Essentials for China” and it will be held on the 15th of March. The digital economy of China is among the fastest developing and growing in the world. In this webinar, the participants will be introduced to prominent digital platforms, trends and the culture of live-streaming. You can sign up here .

The webinars provide important guidance and knowledge in the areas and will be useful for companies that want to get better acquainted with the possibilities for trade with China.
