PAST PROJECT
On November 24, 2017, the first “Logistics Hub and E-commerce Pavilion for Agricultural and Other Products” was opened in the Trakia Economic Zone, near the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
The initiative to build the “Logistics Hub and E-commerce Pavilion for Agricultural and Other Products “—Bulgaria, supported by government leaders from China and the CEE countries, is led by the Association for the Promotion of Agiructural Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries (APACCCEEC) at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Bulgaria, in cooperation with the Trakia Economic Zone (TEZ). The goal is to deepen cooperation between China and the CEE countries and to assist producers from these countries in marketing their products on the Chinese market. “Logistics Hub and E-commerce Pavilion for Agricultural and Other Products” – Bulgaria is located near the city of Plovdiv, within the Trakia Economic Zone (TEZ), specifically in the “Maritsa” Industrial Zone, which covers an area of 5,000,000 m².
Since its establishment, the Logistics Hub has provided the following range of services necessary for international trade:
- Supply chain management services
- Sample logistics;
- Sample storage facilities;
- Direct liaison with customs authorities in China to facilitate the import process
By 2025, the scope of activities of the Logistics Hub had changed and was no longer focused on e-commerce. Its name has been updated to the Hub for Agricultural and Other Products, and its primary function is as a demonstration pavilion for promoting and exhibiting samples of products from the food, beverage, and cosmetics sectors in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
