/ INVITATION: Seminar on Smart Agriculture in China

APACCCEEC, together with Chinese partners and the Embassy of the PRC in Sofia, is organizing a two-week training seminar in China for Bulgarian participants, which will focus on topics relating to smart agriculture.

The seminar will be held in the PRC in the period October 26 – November 11, 2026 (the dates are inclusive of the time necessary for international transfer from Bulgaria to China and back). The working language of the seminar will be English. The following cities are currently included in the programme of the seminar: Beijing; Ningbo, Zhejiang Province; Hangzhou, Zhenjiang Province.

According to the tentative programme of the seminar, the following modules will be part of the seminar:

Lectures and courses, including topics such as: China’s international agricultural development cooperation; application, promotion, existing challenges and follow-up plans of smart agriculture in key industries; protected agriculture; water-saving agriculture; agricultural IoT engineering and intelligent equipment; development of the smart agricultural technology extension and service system in China; application of AI technologies in agricultural production; agricultural big data technologies, etc.

On-site visits, aiming to make the participants familiar with practices such as: high-standard farmland construction, smart irrigation, application of intelligent agricultural machinery and equipment, digital agriculture cloud platforms, rural e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce.

– A visit to APACCCEEC’s Liaison Office and Permanent Pavilion in Ningbo with samples of foods, beverages and cosmetics.

Opportunities for discussion and exchange with representatives of organizations such as: Chinese agricultural science and technology authorities, research institutes, high-tech enterprises, etc.

The seminar is considered appropriate for Bulgarian farmers and farmer organizations; companies from the agriculture, food and beverage, and cosmetics sectors; companies from the IT sector whose activities are related to the development of technologies applicable in the agriculture sector; representatives of chambers of commerce and industry associations, of scientific/research institutions, and representatives of the government sector whose activities are related to the topics of the seminar.

The expenses of the Bulgarian participants, including airline tickets, as well as accommodation, travel and logistics within China, will be borne by the Chinese side.

The participants must meet the participation criteria (including age limits, language skills, etc.) described in the attached summary of the seminar programme.

Pre-selection documents: A short CV in English, in free text, with a photo attached – no more than 2 pages; a short motivation letter to demonstrate why participation in the seminar will be beneficial – no more than 1 page. The English proficiency level should be indicated in the CV. The candidates are expected to possess listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing skills in English.

Note: One representative per company or organization will be admitted, with the exception of representatives of different departments or directorates of central administration bodies. Candidates who did not visit China with last year’s training seminar will be allowed to participate.
