APACCCEEC has the pleasure to invite you to a seminar entitled “China’s Wine Market: A Guide for Exporters”, accompanied by a wine exhibition and wine tasting, on September 29th, 2026 (Tuesday), starting at 14:30 Eastern European summer time.

The event is co-organized by the EU SME Centre, the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries (APACCCEEC) and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The seminar will be hybrid, with the option to participate in-person or online, via Zoom. The keynote speakers will deliver their presentations in person at the physical venue in Sofia.

The event will provide an opportunity to taste wines directly from the winemaker.

As a significant consumer market with its population of about 1.4 billion, China remains an important destination for European winemakers. According to 2024 data, wine exported from the European Union to China amounted to about EUR 500 million.

Currently, the Chinese wine market has become more selective and is marked by changes in consumer habits. It is therefore essential for wine producers and exporters to keep informed about top trends, such as consumer profiles, demographics and preferred sales channels in the country.

Within two main sessions, the current seminar will highlight the latest trends on the Chinese wine market, the opportunities and strategies for producers wishing to export to China, as well as the market access and regulatory requirements for wine products. The speakers will focus more specifically on the prospects from the viewpoint of SMEs interested in the Chinese market. The event will provide opportunities to ask questions through the Q&A session.
