Representatives of the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and CEE Countries and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry visited the Free Trade Zone of Ningbo, PRC on 31 July 2018. They met with He Jiang, head of the “Office of the Organizing Committee for Expo Investments and Trade Exchanges between China and the CEEC and Linda Wo, Deputy Director of Ningbo Imported Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center Company.

In the recent years Ningbo Center for Imports has been established in Ningbo Free Trade Zone, located on an area of ​​120,000 square meters with a total trade volume of 8 billion yuan, of which 4.13 billion are from online trading.

The representatives of state institutions also visited the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center, where the permanent national pavilions of the CEE countries are located, with large exhibition spaces displaying goods from the 16+1 countries. Over 20 national pavilions operate at the congress center. More than 200 companies exhibit over 50,000 items from 60 countries and regions around the world. On June 8, 2015, a permanent exhibition of products from the CEE countries was officially opened at the Ningbo Import Center. The aim is to promote the recognition of goods from the CEE countries on the Chinese market. The permanent exhibition consists of a comprehensive Pavilion of products from the CEE countries with an area of ​​1000 sq.m., to which today more than 4000 different goods from the 16 CEE countries are provided by 65 suppliers.

The national pavilions of the CEE countries part of the 16+1 Initiative are independently managed by companies, specialized in trade with goods from the 16 countries. There are currently 15 national pavilions of CEE countries located on a total area of ​​4000 sq. m.
