On October 22, 2025, Dr. Momchil Stanishev, Director of APACCCEEC, participated in the opening section of the webinar “Exporting F&B from Bulgaria to China”. The webinar is organized by the EU SME Centre in partnership with the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Shanghai.

The aim of the webinar was to provide practical information to Bulgarian small and medium-sized companies interested in the Chinese market.

In his speech, Dr. Stanishev presented the main activities of APACCCEEC – the Accelerator Program for start-ups in the field of agriculture, the Academy for Entrepreneurship in Agriculture, which has already been successfully held in four Bulgarian cities, as well as the active participation of APACCCEEC with pavilions at international exhibitions in China and the CEE countries.

Dr. Stanishev emphasized the importance of the new Liaison Office of APACCCEEC & Permanent Pavilion in the Chinese city of Ningbo, inaugurated in May 2025 and the two demonstration zones located in the city of Plovdiv. The exhibition spaces provide an opportunity for CEE companies in the F&B sector to present their samples in order to promote their products.

In addition, Dr. Stanishev noted that APACCCEEC aims to be a viable partner in organizing conferences and seminars on specialized topics.

The EU SME Centre is an initiative of the European Union that provides a comprehensive range of support services to European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), preparing them to do business in China. In September 2025, APACCCEEC and the EU SME Centre signed a Memorandum of Understanding through a Letter of Intention. The MoU provides for opportunities to organize joint events, such as webinars, trainings, conferences, B2B meetings, and others.
