“The Bulgarian Pavilion in Shanghai will give an opportunity to the Bulgarian producers to enter the market of China “, said the Deputy Minister Vasil Grudev at the official opening ceremony of the Pavilion in the Free Trade Zone in Shanghai city by a real-time connection from Burgas city, Bulgaria. “More than 40 Bulgarian companies already sent their products to Shanghai. Goods like wine, milk, dairy products, honey, cosmetics, juices, baked goods, more than 2500 tons.”
“The Pavilion is a permanent exhibition center, which is provided for free by China to Bulgaria. Our ambition is through Port of Burgas and the Logistic Hub, which we build here, to give an opportunity for additional load of goods from Burgas to sail directly to Shanghai.” – explained the Deputy Minister. He noted that the free trade zone of Shanghai has provided extremely attractive conditions for stepping on the Chinese market.
“The main goal of the Association is to help the Bulgarian and the East and Central European products to enter the Chinese market. Today we put Burgas on the Beijing`s transport map” – said Vasil Gelev, Executive Director of the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the CEE Countries. “We have made possible the entire stock of Central and Eastern Europe to consolidate and pass through the port of Burgas, but also lead investments from Chinese side and significant benefits for Bulgaria. The Pavilion will give additional impetus to Bulgarian producers to organize and send samples and products.
The event is part of the international initiative “16+1”. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Mayor of Burgas – Krasimir Stoychev, and the Executive Director of Port of Burgas Dian Dimov.
