10.01.2023 / Accelerator Program for start-ups in the field of agriculture between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe
APACCCEEC begins the implementation of the pilot project “Accelerator Program for start-ups in the field of agriculture between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe”, which will be held in the period March 27 – April 1, 2023 in Sofia Tech Park, Bulgaria.
The objectives of the Accelerator Program are to attract young and enterprising people to the agricultural sector, as well as to support the development of innovative services, applications and products in agriculture.
Acceptance of applications for participation in the Accelerator begins on January 10th, 2023, and will continue until March 10th, 2023.
Among the target groups of the Accelerator Program are the creation of innovative solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of the HoReCa industry, GIS in agriculture, solutions for food waste, carbon neutrality in agriculture, food technologies, irrigation systems, circular economy of food and beverage supply, and others.
On the final day, the teams of the 20 startups admitted to participation will present their business concept and project to an external jury, as well as to investors, representatives of academia and business, experts, media and diplomats from CEE and China.
The three best projects from the twenty finalists in the Accelerator Program will be awarded financial prizes, as follows:
1st place – 25,000 euros;
2nd place – 15,000 euros;
3rd place – 10,000 euros.

The ambition of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and APACCCEEC is to make this initiative an annual event, which will contribute to the spread of innovative solutions in agriculture and connect the entrepreneurial ecosystems of the CEE countries and China.
