26.02.2019 / APACCCEEC is collecting samples for the 3rd China International Tea Exhibition
The Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries (APACCCEEC) is gathering samples from Bulgarian companies producing tea and instant coffee to participate in the 3rd China International Tea Expo , CITE.
The expo offers a 200 m2 booth for the 16 CEE countries, with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China (MARA) providing the necessary support for those applying through March 15. MARA and the local government of Zhejiang are organizers and sponsors of the event.
The 3rd Chinese International Tea Exhibition will be held from 14-16 May 2019 at the International Exhibition Center, Hangzhou, within the framework of the 4th meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of China and CEE, followed by the next meeting of the Consultative Board of APACCCEEC and The XIV Forum for Agro-Trade and Economic Cooperation between China and CEE.
The Tea Expo aims to stimulate trade in tea and coffee, create opportunities for collaboration and enhance international technological and cultural exchanges between the tea and coffee industries.
The Expo gathers producers, experts and beverage enthusiasts, creating a holiday for the senses of each visitor. From 100 to 500 teas, coffee and instant drink companies are expected to participate and 5,000 to 20,000 people visit.

The volume of tea trade at the 2nd China International Tea Exhibition increased from 67.8 million yuan in 2017 to 103 million yuan ($ 16.2 million) in 2018. More than 4,000 transactions were concluded and nearly 100 tons of tea sold during the 5-day event last year. According to the organizers, more than 1,500 Chinese and foreign tea companies participated in the fair, with more than 150,000 in attendance.

After the Expo, the samples will also be exhibited at the First China-CEE Expo in Ningbo which will be held in June, as well as at the permanent exhibition of the 16+1 Pavilion at the APACCCEEC’s Liaison Office in Ningbo.
