On June 13, 2018, a visit was organized to Jimo administrative district of Qingdao. Mr. Vasil Gelev, Executive Director of APACCCEEC held meetings with the kind hosts Mr. Jiang Hai Yan, Director of Qingdao Jimo District Overseas and Domestic Investment Promotion Bureau, and Mrs. Liu Yan, Deputy Director of Qingdao Jimo District Overseas and Domestic Investment Promotion Bureau.
Jimo, (Jimo, 即墨区 ) is a district in Qingdao, Shandong, a coastal province of the People’s Republic of China, part of the East China region. Jimo is at the forefront of Chinese reform, open to the outside world, with strong economic growth, becoming one of the top 100 in the PRC. With its economic development, it has a leading position in China’s national economy. In China’s economic development report, published in 2016 by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, with its comprehensive competitiveness, Jimo ranks first in the province and ranked ninth in the country.
Jimo’s main priorities are modern commerce, modern finance and logistics, medical and healthcare, information technology, tourism investments, forums and exhibitions, eCommerce, environmental care and education.
The Bulgarian guests from APACCCEEC were officially invited to visit the old town of Jimo (Jimo Gucheng yizhi, 即墨 故城 遗址). The truly amazing with its beauty town is on the list of Shandong’s national cultural heritage. The Aoshan Bay and Tian-Hung Island are its main tourist resources.
