17.04.2024 / APACCCEEC`s CineClub in Plovdiv started with the first movie screening on 16 April

On April 16th, in the Demonstration Zone of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the CEE Countries at the Agricultural University – Plovdiv, the APACCCEEC successfully launched its new project “Cinema Club”.

The first screening at the Cinema Club of the APACCCEEC was the Chinese film: “China from above” (2024). The film introduced viewers to the majestic nature and rich culture and traditions of China. In addition, the visitors of the Demonstration Zone had the opportunity to learn about the country’s modern economic development.

During the official launch of the Cinema Club, students and teachers from the Agricultural University-Plovdiv were present, and from the Chinese side, the guests were Professor Tian Wenli, Deputy Director of the Institute of Apicultural Research, Dr. Wang Kai, Deputy Research Fellow at the same Institute, which is based in Beijing.

The film screenings are held with the aim of familiarizing students, pupils and teachers from educational institutions, as well as the wide audience in the city of Plovdiv with films on agricultural themes, wine production, cooking, including film productions from Bulgaria, China and the CEE countries, which present to the audience the culture and traditions of each country of the China-CEE Cooperation Initiative, as well as from other countries.

The next edition of the Cinema Club in the Demonstration Zone of the APACCCEEC in the city of Plovdiv will be on April 24th, Wednesday, at 17.00 h, and the Chinese movie “The new stories of Zhejiang” (2024) will be screened.
