28.01.2022 / The 5th edition of the China International Import Expo Fair will be held in November
The 5th China International Import Expo Enterprise & Business Exhibition (CIIE) will be held in Shanghai between the 5th and the 10th of November 2022. CIIE is one of China’s main initiatives, dedicated to expand the market opportunities and promote global economic recovery, despite the pandemic.
The Expo occurs annually for the past 5 years and provides major opportunities for foreign companies to present their products to the local market.
Last year’s edition enabled more than 3000 firms from 127 countries, including 281 Fortune 500 companies, to engage to improve their brand exposure and establish links with local enterprises. According to organisers, the generated contracts are estimated to be worth $70.72 billion. Furthermore, virtual pavilions enabled 58 countries to present their leading industries, cuisine, and tourism opportunities.
The CIIE is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and covers an exhibition area of 366 000 sq. m., and attracts nearly half a million visitors. The Expo provides stage for new products and technologies, the opportunity to strengthen brand publicity and build long-lasting relations with the local business and institutions.
The Fifth edition will include exhibition areas for food and agricultural products, automobiles, intelligent industry & information technologies, consumer goods, medical equipment & healthcare products, and services.
