06.05.2018 / Meeting with representatives from the Municipality of Chuzhou and Jinpeng Holding Group

On May 6, 2018, Mr. Vasil Gelev, Executive Director of APACCCEEC and his delegation, held a meeting with representatives from the Municipality of Chuzhou to discuss the details of the construction and launch of the project “16+1 Modern Agricultural Demonstration Park” – Chuzhou, PRC. On 8 March 2018, in China, a joint declaration was signed between the Municipality of Chuzhou and APACCCEEC for the cooperation and development of “16+1 Modern Agricultural Demonstration Park” – Chuzhou, PRC as part of a project of the Municipality of Chuzhou and Jinpeng Holding Group, worth a total of 1 billion US dollar.

The Chinese side of the meeting was attended by Mr. Zhao Kun, Deputy Mayor of Chuzhou Municipal Government, Mr. Zhong Laobin, Director of the Agricultural Committee of Anhui Province, Mrs. Yang Guangan of the Department of International Affairs at Chuzhou Municipality, Mr. Sun Yuanshang, Vice President of Jinpeng Holding Group, Wang Haiyan, chairwoman of Jinpeng Culture & Tourism Group, Mrs. Cao Ju, Chief Operating Officer of Jinpeng Culture & Tourism Group.

The Bulgarian delegates payed a visit to the site on which the construction of “16+1 Modern Agricultural Demonstration Park” – Chuzhou was started. Some of the leading companies of Chuzhou were as well introduced such as – Jingpeng Holding Group, KONKA, Panpan Group.

Meetings with the representatives from the Municipality of Chuzhou and Jinpeng Holding Group continued on the following day. The main subject of the discussions were the possibilities for setting up joint ventures between Chinese and Bulgarian dairy companies in Chuzhou Municipality and the eventual town twinning of Chuzhou with Bulgarian city, which would meet their criteria for cooperation. From the Chinese side Plovdiv and Burgas were proposed as cities with great potential.

Later on May 7, 2018, a visit to Anhui Danuo Dairy Industry Ltd. – Chuzhou dairy manufacturer was organized. There was an official conversation with Mr. Wo, General Manager of the company, in the presence of officials from the Municipality of Chuzhou. Mr Vasil Gelev led conversations about the possible models for launching joint projects with Bulgarian dairy companies in Chuzhou, the possibilities for importing products to the CEE markets, and the construction of production facilities in Bulgaria and other CEE countries.
