21.01.2016 / China is interested in establishing agricultural demonstration parks in CEE countries

China is interested in establishing agricultural demonstration parks in Central and Eastern European countries. This was made clear during the meeting held in Bulgaria on January 21 between the Executive Director of the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the CEECs, Vasil Gelev, and the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Europe at the PRC, Mr. Wang Wengang.
The construction of such demonstration parks will serve as an example in attracting significant Chinese investment in the sector. There is great interest from the Chinese side for Bulgarian dairy products, wine and cosmetics with rose oil. Fruits, vegetables, pastries, honey, canned fish, mineral water, soft drinks and more have been sought. On the Bulgarian side was also presented the Association’s website: www.china2ceec.org, through which applications for the promotion of various agricultural products will be submitted, which will help deepen the cooperation of the CEECs and China.
During the meeting, the Chinese delegation was briefed on the activities of APACCCEEC and the initiative to send the first samples of Bulgarian foodstuffs to the pavilion in the Comprehensive Pilot Cross-border Zone in Hangzhou, China.
