28.11.2017 / Bulgaria is going to host the next Meeting of Heads of Governments of the CEEC in the 16+1 format
Bulgaria is going to host the 7th Meeting of the Heads of Government of China and the Central and Eastern European countries in 2018. The decision was concluded during the 6th Summit held in Budapest on the 27th of November.
“I am thankful to the Prime Minister Li Keqiang to the Prime Minister Victor Orban to every one of my colleagues for their support for Bulgaria to be the country host for the next Meeting of the Heads of Governments of the 16+1 Format”, said the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov. Premier Borisov noted that the coming year is very special for Bulgaria as the country is also going to host for the first time the European Council.
“The intense mobilization and high motivation of the Bulgarian government which is due to the organization put in order for the hosting of the European Council will also compliment the planned 7th Meeting”, the Prime Minister added.
Boyko Borisov recalled that in 2018 Bulgaria will be the host country for another key initiative of the “16+1” format – the 4th China-CEEC Local Leaders Meeting which will be held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Other important events and initiatives will be organized by APAC’s side as well.
