27.09.2024 / APACCCEEC`s CineClub in Plovdiv continued with another Chinese movie

On September 26th, in the Demonstration Zone of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the CEE Countries at the Agricultural University – Plovdiv, the APACCCEEC held another screening within its project “CineClub”.

The screening at APACCCEEC’s CineClub was the Chinese film “Fantastic Future: the unknown history of science in China“. The first part, “The Boundless Universe“, focuses on some of Beijing’s most impressive projects beyond Earth orbit – the Chinese Navigation Satellite System (called BeiDou) and the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program – Chang’e Project. The audience was introduced to the inspiring story of Ouyang Ziyuan, the project’s chief scientific expert, and learned more about the first Chinese satellites to successfully land on the Moon. The second part of the film, “The Giant Leap in Technology“, followed the rapid development of advanced technology and artificial intelligence in China and their implementation in various fields – agriculture, medicine, transport, informatics. The film explores the impact of technological development on daily lives, employment and education of the Chinese population.

The screening was attended by students and lecturers from Agricultural University – Plovdiv. In addition to the two parts of the film, another ongoing project of APACCCEEC was presented to the audience – the Academy for Entrepreneurship in Agriculture. The next edition of the Academy will be held at the Agricultural University – Plovdiv from 10 to 13 December 2024.

The film screenings are held with the aim of familiarizing students, pupils and teachers from educational institutions, as well as the wide audience in the city of Plovdiv with films on agricultural themes, wine production, cooking, including film productions from Bulgaria, China and the CEE countries, which present to the audience the culture and traditions of each country of the China-CEE Cooperation Initiative, as well as from other countries.
