20.10.2022 / APACCCEEC took part in the SIAL International Food Exhibition in Paris in 2022

Representatives of the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European countries participated in the largest International Food Exhibition in the world – SIAL Paris, which takes place on 15-19 October 2022. About 7000 exhibitors from all over the world participate in the exhibition, which takes place every 2 years.

APACCCEEC participates with a promotional stand, that is part of the Bulgarian Pavilion at the exhibition where 19 Bulgarian companies from the food and beverage sector have their own stands. In addition other Bulgarian producers participate in the exhibition with separate stands.

The team of the APACCCEEC during the exhibition consists of Dr. Momchil Stanishev, Director, and Mr. Venislav Emilov, Expert. A unique spring water with damascene rose extract was presented at the APACCCEEC`s stand by Mr. Lachezar Dinev, Chairman of the Bulgarian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mrs. Maria Stefanova, plenipotentiary minister, and agricultural attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Paris joined the APACCCEEC stand.

Within the exhibition dozens of meetings were held with representatives of associations, manufacturers, and traders from the countries of the Central and Eastern Europe region and China. During the meetings the Director of APACCCEEC, Dr. Momchil Stanishev, introduced exhibitors from CEE and China to the activities and the business opportunities provided by the Association. Apart from that, the meetings provided an opportunity the specifics of local production in different countries to be discovered.

At parallel events within the framework of SIAL Talks, professionals from the food industry held seminars on topics of digitization in the food sector, consumer expectations, innovations in the field, as well as good practices from their countries were presented.

The Director of APACCCEEC also held a meeting with Mrs. Anna Li, Managing Director of SIAL China, who was leading the seminar “The Chinese Food and Beverage Market”.

In addition to the national pavilions of various countries and regions, SIAL Paris offers a rich program related to sustainable development and ecological production. The organizers of the event also presented “SIAL FUTURE LAB” to the large audience, an event that presents the future of food and product preparation technologies, as well as future trends in the sector. Culinary events are included in the program of the exhibition every day, including live demonstrations, product preparation, and processing.
