26.02.2024 / APACCCEEC took part in the international exhibition for confectionery and bakery products Artozyma in Thessaloniki
In the period 24-26 February 2024, the 11th edition of Artozyma confectionery and bakery international exhibition was held in Thessaloniki, Greece. The forum is held annually and is popular among Greek and regional investors and the public, being under the patronage of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food of Greece and in cooperation with the Hellenic National Bank, Aegean Airlines, telecommunications operator Nova. This year, 206 exhibitors participated, including direct exhibitors from 9 countries (Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Poland, Turkey, Germany, Tajikistan, Cyprus, Italy and Iran).
The official opening of the exhibition was held on February 24th, and official speeches were given from: Mr. Lefteris Avgenakis, Minister of Rural Development and Food; Mr. Stathis Konstantinidis, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Macedonia-Thrace region; Mr. Stelios Angelouidis, Mayor of Thessaloniki; Mr. Apostolos Tsitsikostas, Regional Governor of Central Macedonia; Mr. Michalis Mousios, President of the Federation of Bakers of Greece; Mr. Kyriakos Pozrikidis, Executive Director of HELEXPO.
The exhibition brought together the largest raw materials, packaging and equipment companies, while highlighting the current trends prevailing in the sector through new accompanying thematic events, such as the Pastry Lab, Bakery Lab and the Sixth Hellenic Bread Championship. Guests and exhibitors also had the opportunity to attend various seminars and workshops regarding new trends in the industry and food technologies organized by the Hellenic Association of Food Technologies.
The main sectors represented during the exhibition were: bakery products, jams, chocolate products, coffee, ice-cream, honey products, confectionery, bakery, start-ups in these business niches, as well as various innovative machines and equipment that support the development of the confectionery and bread sector and production.
APACCCEEC participated with its own Pavilion, which was attended by five Bulgarian companies – producers from the food sector in honey, jams, nuts, chocolates. The Bulgarian exhibitors are well-established and specialized producers of chocolate products, sweets, sugar products, jams, honey, bread and pasta products, all of whom prioritize the personalization of their production and the development of an innovative brand. The forum created an opportunity to promote the activities of the Bulgarian companies, which presented their products and created new contacts with partners from Greece and the region.
APACCCEEC`s team held bilateral meetings with bakers and confectionary industry representatives, as well various associations and bilateral chambers of commerce. The APACCCEEC`s Pavilion was also visited by Mr. Vladimir Inkov, Trade and Economic Counsellor at the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Thessaloniki, who will further assist the Bulgarian exhibitors in their positioning on the Greek market.
