/ APACCCEEC and Digital Innovation Hub Trakia signed a Cooperation Agreement

On 16th February, the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries (APACCCEEC) and Digital Innovation Hub Trakiа signed a Cooperation Agreement in support of SMEs and public organizations in the process of their transition to digitalization.

At the time of signing the Agreement, Dr. Momchil Stanishev, APACCCEEC Director, and Dr. Hristian Daskalov, Digital Innovation Hub Trakiа Management Board Chairman, discussed their future partnership,expressing hope for a beneficial future cooperation between the two parties. Mr. Yasen Tanev, cybersecurity expert and lecturer, also took part in the meeting.

The Digital Innovation Hub Trakiа team consists of a number of cybersecurity and AI specialists, as well as experts from the IT sector. Digital Innovation Hub Trakia’s main activities include supporting SMEs and public organizations in achieving their digital transformation goals by sharing their knowledge and experience in the innovation sphere, specifically by providing services like training and consulting, as well as holding seminars on cyber maturity, cyber confidence, and risk management.

The scope of the Agreement pertains to building an ecosystem of partnerships, based on the guidelines of the “CYBERsecurity 4 All STAKeholdeRs” Project, which is part of the European Network of Digital Innovation Hubs, funded under the ‘Digital Europe’ program of the European Commission, whose mission is to assist SMEs and public organizations in their digital transition. Both parties’ common objective will be to provide and use cybersecurity services to benefit their partners, some of whom include: public and business organizations, innovative start-up small and medium-sized enterprises, which can offer groundbreaking solutions for digital transformation, as well as in cybersecurity and e-Government.

APACCCEEC and Digital Innovation Hub Trakiа’s cooperation will be conducted via an exchange of information, mutual promotion of services and hosting events, as well as assistance in arranging the participation of experts and other representatives in meetings, lectures, consultations, statistical and other types of surveys.

During the meeting, the representatives from both parties discussed their common ground, particularly in the field of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, and how those apply in the agricultural sector. Digital Innovation Hub Trakiа is now a partner in APACCCEEC’s Academy of Agricultural Entrepreneurship, as well as in the upcoming second edition of the “Accelerator Program for start-ups in the field of agriculture between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe”.
