An Agreement for the Establishment of 16+1 Logistics Center and Pavilion at the Port of Burgas was signed at an official ceremony between the association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European countries (APACCCEEC), Port of Burgas EAD, the State Chinese Association for e-Commerce and Hangzhou E-Commerce Industry Internet Park, held in Hangzhou, China. The ceremony was attended by the Executive Director of APACCCEEC Vasil Gelev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Burgas Port Ivan Kapitanov, the special Commissioner of the Ministry of Commerce of China Li Ke, President of the State Chinese Association for e-Commerce Xia Ming and representatives of the local government of Hangzhou and Zhejiang province.

“The agreement aims to build a logistics warehouse in Bulgaria, funded by the Chinese government and makes it available to suppliers from China and the CEE countries. For consumers, the benefits will be mainly fast delivery after sales service”, said Vasil Gelev. According to him, it is through the 16+1 Logistics Center and Pavilion that Bulgaria has found its place on the Eastern European transport map of Beijing. “This creates favorable conditions for CEE companies to market their products on the Chinese market through e-commerce”, Gelev said.

During the ceremony, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Chinese Association for E-Commerce and APACCCEEC and a Memorandum of Cooperation between Hangzhou E-Commerce Industry Internet Park and APACCCEEC. They will provide an opportunity to have a free, decorated and staff-secured booth at the permanent agricultural exhibition in Hangzhou, China. The Agricultural Exhibition is a joint project of the state-owned HEC Corp. and the Ministry of Commerce of China. It aims to sell agricultural products in China through e-commerce.
